Before Booking:
Is Wi-Fi available, and is it reliable?
Yes, Wii-Fi is available and is reliable throughout the cottage making Moorside a great option for a working holiday.
Is there a dedicated work station?
Yes, upon the mezzanine floor in the second bedroom you will find a chair and desk.
Will the cottage have a cot or high chair?
We can provide you with a travel cot, however cot linen is not provided. We can also provide a high chair upon request.

Do you have private parking?
We have private off road parking for 3 cars, cars must be parked within each allocated bay.
Are short breaks available or only week long stays?
During peak times we offer week stays. We offer 2 night stays up to 28 days. We can be flexible so please email Claire with your questions.
Are dogs allowed? Are other pets allowed?
Two small / medium dogs over the age of 1 year. All dogs must be house trained. We only accept dogs. The property is surrounded by walls, and the images below show the wall height. All dogs must be on leads in the immediate surrounding area.
When do I need to pay for my booking?
Payment is required in full if your holiday begins less than 56 days before arrival. Otherwise a 25% deposit will be required to secure your booking.
What are your usual change over days?
Friday, Saturday and Monday
Do you offer long term accommodation or short lets?
The maximum stay in Moorside Farm Holiday Cottage is 28 nights.

Is booking insurance included, or should I arrange my own?
Moorside Farm Holiday Cottage does not provide booking insurance. However, we work with X Cover, which is detailed at the checkout and can provide you with cover in case of illness or injury.
We haven’t visited the Yorkshire Dales before, what can we do?
We hope to welcome you to Moorside Farm Holiday Cottage and the Yorkshire Dales soon. There are a wide variety of activities, experiences, If it’s your first visit to the Yorkshire Dales National Park, you’ll find adventure doesn’t have to be planned it often begins the moment you step outside. Families can enjoys natures playground, follow riverside paths along the River Wharfe, build stone towers by the water, paddle in shallow spots, or set off on mini expeditions across fields and over stiles. Older children might enjoy cycling quiet lanes, spending a day with a blacksmith, climbing the surrounding fells for big views, while nearby villages such as Grassington and Kettlewell offer ice creams, cafés and traditional pubs for a well-earned rest. It’s a place where simple outdoor adventures bring families and friends together.
Before Arrival:
When will I receive access information about my holiday home?
Claire will email you with welcome instructions no later that 7 days prior to your arrival. This will include information about the property, arrival instructions and directions.
What time is check in / check out?
Check in is from 5pm onwards and check out is 10am.
Are towels and linen included?
All bedding is included in the hire of Moorside Farm Holiday Cottage. A hand towel and bath sheet is provided for each guest.
What do your provide for our stay?
We provide dishwasher tablets, 3 toilet rolls (1 for each bathroom), hand wash, tea towels, dish cloth, 2/3 bin liners (depending on length of stay).
Can I bring additional guests?
For insurance purposes only guests named on the booking form can stay at Moorside Farm Holiday Cottage.
Do supermarkets deliver to Moorside Farm?
Yes we have a good selection of supermarkets that can deliver – Tesco, Morrisons and Asda.
Are there independent farm shops?
Yes we are lucky to have 4 local food providers, Jacksons, Townend farm shop, Robertshaws, and Weatherheads,
Can I add experiences to my booking?
We are currently working on this part of our business to offer our guests more options. Please emails us with requests and any questions you may have.
I need to cancel my booking, what are my options?
If you are unable to come on your holiday, please email us.
During Your Stay:
What should I do in case of an emergency or issue during my stay?
Guests will be provided with an out of hours telephone number during their stay, should you run into any issues.
Are friends and family who are not on the booking form allowed to visit us, park and enter the property?
We expect our guests to let us know if people not names on the booking form are visiting. We require guests ‘visitors’ to leave the property by 9pm and for this to not be a regular occurrence during their stay. Strictly anyone not named on the booking form cannot stay over night in the property or its grounds. The lead booker is responsible for the behaviour of visitors to the cottage. If allocated parking spaces are not available, guests friends/family will not be able to park at Moorside Farm Holiday Cottage.
Will I need wellington boots?
We strongly suggest bringing wellies with you especially if you want to walk the footpaths. Fields can get too muddy for walking boots at certain times of the year.
Will I need to use my car? Can I walk from the cottage?
This depends on what you would like to do while you are in the area. There are buses but services are limited. Many of our guests leave their car/s parked and walk our secluded footpath from the farm. There are at least 3 walks from the cottage less than 5 minuets from the door.
Will we see sheep outside the cottage?
During March we will not have sheep or lambs in our fields. But the rest of the year there is a good chance you will see sheep and lambs especially in April, May June, July and August. If you walk on the moors you are likely to see Swale- dale sheep.
Will we see wildlife?
You will see wildlife at different times of the year as we are surrounded by the countryside. Last year guests told us that they saw a Deer in our fields, Curlews, Oyster Catchers, Hares in the fields and the cottage grounds, Pheasants, Owls, Red Kites and Lapwings.
Is there a pub within walking distance?
Yes, The Clarendon Pub in Hebden is a 15 minuet walk from the cottage.

I have left an item in the holiday home, how can I get it back?
Moorside Farm Holiday cottage cannot any responsibility for items that you have left behind. If you have left anything please get in touch immediately with Jason or Claire. We will do our best to reunite you with your items. Please be aware that you will have to pay for tracked postage costs.
