The Cottage
Moorside Farm is a beautiful stone built farmhouse, sympathetically restored in a contemporary style.
The building retains many original features, nestled in the rolling hills of the dales with stunning views of Burnsall Fell. With WiFi throughout the cottage, it is the perfect destination for family reunions, celebration of special occasions, a working holiday or to just have a relaxing treat. Whatever your reason, you can relax, explore, walk, or shop while coming back to a beautiful 5 star experience.
The Lounge
The lounge is a warm and inviting space with tastefully coordinated décor; the impressive, original stone fire surround houses the log burning stove that is sat on a Yorkshire stone hearth, creating an incredibly welcoming atmosphere. Relax on either of the big comfy sofas, and enjoy all the lounge has to offer, which includes a Smart TV with Freeview and Stereo CD player, cosy underfloor heating and music for your enjoyment.
The Kitchen
With stunning views, there’s nowhere better to enjoy a lazy breakfast than the oak breakfast bar. This beautiful farmhouse kitchen is complemented by a Yorkshire Stone fireplace that encases a 5 ring induction hob and double oven with plate warmer. The kitchen is fully fitted with a dishwasher, under-counter fridge and all the cooking equipment you could need. Tea, coffee and milk with luxury biscuits are awaiting your arrival.
Master Bedroom
The master bedroom has an exceptionally comfortable king size sleigh bed adorned by carefully selected luxury bedding for your comfort. Black-out curtains for a perfect nights sleep, or open them to a stunning view of unspoilt pasture land and countryside. Spacious walk-in wardrobe with hanging space and drawers. There is also an attractive en-suite bathroom with shower and heated towel rail, bath sheet and hand towel.
Double Bedroom
Spacious double bedroom that boasts a beautiful design with numerous exposed beams, trail lighting, and a bonus mezzanine floor. This room has a double pine bed, carefully selected linens for your comfort, black out curtains, large triple wardrobe with full length mirror and chest of drawers.
The wooden spindled staircase leads to the large mezzanine floor, designed with exposed original stonework, comfortable bean bags, dedicated work station and library area with books for all ages and local knowledge of the area. There is also a TV for your individual viewing and a bespoke stair gate.
Twin Bedroom
Twin single room with original door and complimentary sweetheart pine beds, with luxury linens. A wardrobe, a full length mirror and a TV for your individual viewing also fill this restful bedroom.
Twin Bedroom
Twin single room, with a cosy single bed on the lower portion and a mezzanine floor above with exposed beams, accessible from wooden paddle stairs. Here you will see a small balcony surrounding a luxury ottoman divan second single bed, a pine wardrobe and a chest of drawers. This includes a TV for individual viewing preferences on the lower floor. Upstairs are Velux windows (with blackout blinds), one of which is above the bed for star gazing at those unpolluted dark skies, where we often see the Milky way.
The Bathroom
This bathroom has a truly opulent feel. Double ended bath with Yorkshire Stone bulkhead and windowsill, victorian style radiator and a large shower with a massage spray, which makes you feel very pampered. A wonderful relaxing environment in which you can lay back, unwind and let all the stress of life drift away.
Outside
Outside the cottage there is a patio area with garden furniture, an established garden with traditional dry stone walls, a wishing well, wild garden, ornamental fireplace and parking for two cars (more by request please).
The cottage is accessed from the B6265, through traditional wooden gate onto your private driveway. Country walks start at the field in front of the cottage!
